The Williams Sonoma Signature Scent -A Fresh Twist for a Cozy Atmosphere
Ever step into a Williams Sonoma and wonder, what is that heavenly scent? Here’s how to recreate it at home in less than 5 min… It doesn’t require expensive candles or store-bought air fresheners either. With a few simple ingredients, we’re going to recreate this delightfully sweet lemon rosemary home scent that not only fills your space with a refreshing fragrance but also adds a touch of natural charm.
You can also store it and use it as a room deodorizer after it fills your home, if you’re willing to wait just a bit longer…
Ingredients
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 2 rosemary sprigs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 4-5 cups water
- Optional: 5-10 drops of Saje’s Liquid Sunshine Diffuser Blend.. my personal fav!
Instructions
Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
Before you start, ensure you have fresh lemons, fragrant rosemary sprigs, pure vanilla extract, and water on hand. The made for each other combination will create a symphony of scents that instantly elevate your home.
Step 2: Slice the Lemons
Take the two lemons and slice them into thin rounds. The citrusy aroma of lemons will provide a zesty and uplifting base for your home scent. Place them into a medium sized pot.
Step 3: Prepare the Rosemary
Gently bruise the rosemary sprigs by rolling them between your fingers. This helps release the essential oils and intensifies the herbal fragrance. Place the rosemary sprigs into the same pot.
Step 4: Add Vanilla and Essential Oil Drops
Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. The vanilla adds a sweet undertone, balancing the citrusy and herbal notes for a well-rounded fragrance. If you don’t have Liquid Sunshine you can also add a few drops of Bergamot, Cinnamon, Grapefruit or Basil. Feel free to play around.
Step 5: Add Water and Simmer
Pour enough water into the pot to cover the ingredients. Place the pot on the stove over low heat. As the water begins to warm, the mixture will release its aromatic goodness. Allow it to simmer gently, but be sure to keep an eye on the water level and top up as needed.
Step 6: Enjoy the Aroma
As the lemon rosemary home scent begins to fill your kitchen, the steam will carry the fragrance throughout your home, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Step 7: Bottle It Up
You can also store your mixture into a cool place for a few weeks, allowing the oils to infuse. Transfer the liquid through a sieve into a spray bottle and you can use it as a room spray and deodorizer.
