A quiet thought that returns to me often, especially in the softest, most ordinary moments.

Life stretches in so many directions, tugging us toward the what-ifs of the future or the weight of what’s passed. But here in the studio, I say, “Go where it will take you…” It’s a gentle nudge to move. To change. To notice.

This painting style began a few years ago, in a season where the world felt drenched in newness – lush, generous, and full of quiet expansion as we lived in Mexico.

As I painted, I felt connected to where we were – its layers of colours, skies, texture, its grounding tones, the way light folds into landscape. Each canvas holds that memory of abundance.

The Woven Winds series is a reflection of this grounded presence – each brushstroke a pause, each colour a breath. An invitation to stay here, just a little longer if we can.
